THE CLODS:
THE CLODS are a culmination of classic sounds. Lead vocalist, Eric Yandle cut his teeth with the band "The Rakes" in the 1970's, which introduced classic punk to the Auburn College scene. In addition to recording several albums, "The Rakes" shared the stage with such greats as Iggy Pop and Stevie Ray Vaughn. In 1983, out of the ashes of "The Rakes", Eric and his brother formed "Mr. Resistor" which played heavily in the Southeast over the next 10 years and also recorded several albums. In the 90's, Eric ventured out alone to form "Psycho Jive" which displayed his songwriting talents and also recorded the "Psycho Jive" album under the Bone Machine records label producer Jeff Pattison. It was from the ashes of "Psycho Jive" that "The Clods" were born. Eric Yandle was introduced to bassist Len Knitter through producer Jeff Pattison and his label Bone Machine Records. Bone Machine Records and Eric were looking to revive the "Psycho Jive" flagship. Len had previously worked on several albums on the Bone Machine Record label including his own" Chicken No Head" album. The two were introduced and began working on material together, immediately finding common ground within their own musical upbringings. Len had worked on a previous project with drummer John Long and lead guitarist James Woods. John and James had been a songwriting team for nearly 23 years, producing numerous stage and recording projects together including projects with Len. When this music team got together and started working up Eric's material, they knew they had something special. Creating new music, and drawing from their similar backgrounds, the boys pulled their sweet classic tones together and weaved them into a new and seamless original sound. Standing on the rock solid song writing of Eric Yandle and adding their own musical personalities into the mix, the new sounds of THE CLODS are guaranteed to entertain audiences and introduce then to the classic tones that made rock and roll what it is, in a fresh new light.
